How many women will attend the Bali Women's Retreat?

This retreat will be limited to 8-10 women.  This intimate size encourages women to form close friendships and bond during their time together.

My friend and I will both be going.  Can we room together?

Of course!  Just let me know in advance and I’ll make sure you will be sharing a room. Sharing a room has added benefits, as the cost of the retreat will be discounted if you agree to share a room.  Plus, if several women agree to share a room on a retreat, it means we can likely get a nicer villa.

I’m all for being social, but I also like my privacy.  Can I have a single room?

Single rooms are absolutely available, at a slightly higher cost.  If you are interested in a single room, book early to ensure you will have a space of your own.

How long is the retreat? Can I attend for a shorter period of time?

The retreat lasts 6 nights.  If you need to cut your time short a bit, let me know and I’ll work with you.

Do I have to participate in all the organized activities?

Of course not.  You do you, girl!  This is your vacation. You will be encouraged to go at your own pace, and can skip certain activities if you choose to. If you want to sleep in every morning, read a book and sit by the pool in the afternoon, or turn in early at night, go for it!

I have some dietary restrictions. Will there be anything I can eat?

As long as you let me know in advance, I can work with the chef and any scheduled restaurants to accommodate your dietary needs.  Please be sure to let me know in advance though.

What should I pack?

I will email you a suggested packing list about a month prior to the trip. But of course if you have any questions leading up to the trip, please don't hesitate to email me.

I really like my spa treatments.  Can I arrange for more spa time?

Of course!!  You will have the opportunity to select additional spa treatments like massages, facials, or mani/pedis at a supplemental cost.

Do I need to rent a car?

Absolutely not.  Roundtrip transportation is provided for those arriving on the first scheduled day of the trip and leaving on the scheduled departure day. If you are arriving or departing on a different date, I can help you arrange transportation, which is a very reasonable cost.  If you decide to go off on your own at any time during the trip, you can always get a taxi.  Taxis in Bali are inexpensive.  All transportation to planned activities is included.

Why do you require a deposit?

The $500 deposit must be paid within 3 days of booking and is non-refundable. Why you ask? Group trip planning involves a ton of time, effort and expense. This includes everything from researching hotels and tours to meet the group's specific needs, coordinating transportation, booking restaurants and planning set menus, and arranging everything from guides and drivers to yoga instructors and private chefs to ensure you have the best time. Additionally, all villas and excursions must be paid for in advance, so I am advancing the cost of these trips. Cancellations affect the total cost of the trip and therefore the cost for other guests.  Late cancellations make it impossible to find replacements or make arrangements to villa sizes or group activities, and therefore forfeit a greater amount of the payment. What happens if an emergency arises and I can no longer attend?

This is one of the many reasons why I require each individual to carry their own travel insurance. In addition to any medical or emergency issues that arise while traveling, good travel insurance can also cover all or a portion of the cost of your trip if you need to cancel last minute because of an emergency. Some travel insurance policies even allow you to cancel for any reason.  If you would like a recommendation for travel insurance, read about World Nomads and get a quote by clicking here.

Though I understand that emergencies do happen, I cannot offer a full refund if you choose to cancel too close to the actual trip date. The reason for this is once we are 60 days out from the start of the trip, all villas and most excursions are already 100% paid for, and all costs have been advanced by me. I'm ready to book!  How do I sign up for a retreat?

You can quickly and easily sign up for a retreat by clicking on the Book Now link on the Bali Women's Retreat page. After choosing your preferred retreat and room type, you can securely pay the $500 deposit (or the full amount if booking less than 60 days in advance of the retreat) using PayPal.
